Dr Georgios Antonakos is a physician, Μedical Βiopathologist, Director of the Department of Clinical Biochemistry at the “ATTIKON” University General Hospital of the Medical School of the University of Athens (NKUA) in Greece. He is married and the father of 1 child. He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens and completed his PhD at the Department of Clinical Biochemistry of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). He served his Military Term as a Medical Doctor at the Hellenic Air Force. He completed field service as a rural physician at the Health Center of Areopolis Lakonias. Ηe specialized in Clinical Pathology-Laboratory Medicine at the “Polykliniki General Hospital” of Athens. He has been honored with several awards, among them the Silver Award in Healthcare Business Awardsand the Dimitrios Koutras Award of the Hellenic Endocrinological Society. He is the ex Presidentof the Hellenic Society of Medical Biochemistry. He has many publications in prestigious international journals and supplements of international journals as well as many announcements in Greek and international conferences. He has been an invited speaker to many lectures and presentations in Conferences.
